Climate
It is under the influence of the Mediterranean climate. Economy
Its economy is based on agriculture, agro-industry and tourism. 71% of the population is engaged in agriculture. Tourism has developed considerably due to the ease of transportation, climate and natural beauties and historical monuments. Vegetable growing, greenhouse and early vegetable growing are very developed. Greenhouses are heated with geothermal energy. Aydın, which is the first in fig and chestnut production in Turkey; It ranks second in olive, cotton, artichoke and strawberry production and third in peanut production.
